WRIGHT’S STUDIO FOR TWO
Location:Glen Ridge , New Jersey
Status:Graduate Student Work, 2024
Course: ARCH 506
Supervisor: Andrew Gleeson
Wright’s Studio for Two is an innovative extension to the Stuart Richardson
House in New Jersey, celebrating the hexagonal grid that
defines the original design. Emphasizing Frank Lloyd Wright’s organic
architecture principles, the studio features hexagonal modules
that seamlessly integrate with the house’s geometry. Large windows
flood the space with natural light, while cantilevered roofs and openplan
interiors create a harmonious blend of form and function. The
use of natural materials such as wood and stone enhances the connection
to the surrounding landscape, offering a modern yet timeless
sanctuary for creativity and reflection
